COVID-19 UPDATE

On March 2nd, I started work in my studio to sculpt our new Icons Collection with an excited, inspired and determined mindset. Over the course of the next 10 days, our world changed in unfathomable ways. I finished carving the last piece through tears of uncertainty. Ironically, that final piece for this collection is a Compass Rose, and as I put the finishing touches on its form, I felt so lost, wishing (and somehow believing) the Icon I was bringing to life could actually have the power to guide me and our team through these uncertain times.
Dear Friends,
On March 2nd, I started work in my studio to sculpt our new Icons Collection with an excited, inspired and determined mindset.

My heart goes out to those who are sick and to everyone who is impacted by COVID-19. There is nobody who will be untouched by this pandemic both from a health sense, and from an economic point of view. The safety and wellness of our team and customers is, and will always be my top priority. We are working to keep everyone safe and taking measures to help prevent the spread of the virus, while also maintaining our incredible customer service through email and on our social channels. For now, our store will remain open while taking steps to create a safe and healthy environment, following the protocols and instructions of the WHO, CDC, the Bermuda Government and the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce.

If you would prefer to meet with me directly, privately in our studio, I would be more than happy to. Just reply and let me know what time would be most convenient for you.

Contrary to my bubbly, social nature, recently I have been quiet on social media and emails, as it didn't feel quite right to go on sharing pretty jewellery like nothing’s happening. We know that there are more important concerns than jewellery at this time, and we also know this pandemic will massively impact our small business in ways we can’t even know. Bermuda was excitedly awaiting Spring Break vacationers and a lively burst of visitor activity just this very week, and now we are uncertain of what our season will look like as worldwide travel shuts down.

And while jewellery or art might not be the topic of conversation right now, as we’re sure you have already heard, small businesses, including ours, will be hit hard in the next few months and we're hoping for your continued support. For our part, we’ll be covering the shipping on all orders placed through alexandramosher.com, including free delivery within Bermuda.

If you're in a position to help - we could really use your support. We are still making jewellery here in our Bermuda studio, and we'd be grateful for the opportunity to send some to you. Quite frankly, our ability to sustain the season depends on it. If you were booked to come to Bermuda and now cannot, perhaps a little piece of Bermuda jewellery would bring some joy and magic to you or your dear ones. Consider a virtual Gift Certificate for that upcoming birthday or anniversary gift.

We continue to be here to answer your questions and fill orders via phone and email as well as Instagram and Facebook DMs. Reach out anytime with requests for advice on size, fit and styling.

We also hope you will join us in supporting our business in ways that do not require your dollars. Simple acts of generosity can have a huge impact on keeping us all afloat, such as:
  • Leave a positive review on Google or Trip Advisor
  • Post a picture, tag us and give us a shout out
  • Like, comment and share our posts on your social platforms
  • Share your favourite pieces and recommend them to a friend.

  • Despite keeping our physical distance, social media platforms can help us stay connected and foster a level of strength and community. By helping spread the word about our work, you are helping us grow more resilient. We are truly grateful for your support and are looking forward to welcoming you back when you are ready.  We’ll be online ready to answer questions, hear your thoughts and ride this out together.

While it's hard to believe in magic at a time like this, I do believe in our human need to celebrate through art and design, and I hope my work makes you feel the warm, sunny spirit of Bermuda through it, wherever in the world you may be.

    With love,

    Alexandra

Bought my husband your beautiful cufflinks (turn out REAL men DO wear pink…he absolutely LOVES them!!) a few years ago. We have been planning to come to beautiful Bermuda for so long. Your shop is a must do stop on my list. Your art and spirit of celebrating Bermuda has intrigued me since I found you. What a different and beautiful selection! Absolutely ethereal and creative.

Here’s to the future, that brings health, safety, and the ease of mind we all deserve. It will be such a pleasure to meet you one day.

You remain a “go to” place for ideas & plans for birthdays and holidays….your unique and gorgeous work simply cannot be duplicated.
Best to You and your Family and Team Alexandra! …and my husband and I cannot wait to visit Bermuda one day (hopefully) very soon.
    Best!!

We were so happy to have been on Bermuda this past week, our 7th trip in 7 Marches, welconed by Bermuda officials as we carefully monitored our decision to come. We knew it woukd likely mean Jeff would be subjected to mandatory quarantine upon return, but we wanted to support the island, keep things in order as much as was safely possible. Donned with spray, wipes, masks, we flew in the 15th and had to depart 2 days ago, due to the 2 cases found via testing conducted a week and a half before our arrival. We got to do so many things we enjoy, including some new adventures, and a few of those activities we supported as a very intimate experience due to cancellation fears and low participation of those on the island. Still, we walked by and were happy to see you were open on Thursday, Alexandra! We tipped big, toured, Twizied, whale watched with amazibg breaches and double breaches, Ascot dined as the only guests, and gave real and elbow-pumping hug greetings to so many we know and love. Our honorary onion status is undeterred, and it is great to see your message, too. Hope you are doing well, and we will keep Bermuda in our prayers for the spirit of its citizens and wisdom of its leadership to prevail, always! From one of your first—and definitely very faithful—supporters in your original retail space…Jenny J
