Bermuda's beautiful coastline has long been a source of inspiration for me. Our beaches have an increasing amount of Sargassum seaweed washing ashore - one of the many impacts of climate change.
When I inspected the seaweed, I noticed its delicate fronds were a wonder to look at - a labyrinth of tiny lace-like structures with small berries elegantly swaying from their tips. I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty that can be found in the smallest of details and this one made my heart sing.
I am excited by this opportunity to highlight the beauty of Sargassum and encourage everyone to consider what we can do to protect our delicate marine habitats.
