Bermuda Festival of Performing Arts | The Versailles Butterfly
The Versailles Butterfly Story:
The Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts asked Photographer Amanda Temple to create the artwork to celebrate their 40th Anniversary and invited jewellery designer, Alexandra Mosher, to collaborate by creating a butterfly. For the final piece, Amanda created a composite using her images of a Paget sky, the palace of Versailles, local dancer Samantha Hollis and Alexandra’s sterling silver and ruby butterfly. This work of art illustrates dedication to celebrating the past, while metamorphosing to embrace the present.
Amanda's Limited Edition prints are available either on canvas or aluminium. Each piece is unique and made to order so will take five days to create. But can be pre-ordered online and at Alexandra Mosher Studio Jewellery's boutique in Hamilton. Matted prints and notecards are available now.
Alexandra's Ruby Anniversary Butterfly is available in three different finishes either as a pin or pendant. In each butterfly wing Alexandra has inscribed the Bermuda Festival logo and a violin f sound hole, offset with a single ruby on the right wing. Initial quantities are limited, please pre-order here online or at our Hamilton boutique to reserve your butterfly. The Butterfly will be released on November 20th!*
